Basketball

WHEN:  Registration is in September with practices beginning in September/October.  Games are played in the fall and winter culminating in our participation in an end-of-season tournament in February.

WHERE:  Practices and home games will be at the gym in Winfield. Away games are typically in the Northeast Texas area.

WHO:  Young men and women entering 7th grade - 12th grade are invited to participate.  Some years, we also invite 6th graders to play.  Players must be 12 by August 1st and meet all eligibility guidelines as published by the NCHC per CHAAMP Bylaws 7.0.4 (adopted June 2022).

HOW:  Look for registration to be announced via the various homeschool email loops in the Mt. Pleasant area (CHEMPA & CHEC).  We require various forms to be completed as well as a season fee to be paid.  If you are not part of a Mt. Pleasant homeschool group, please email us directly to learn about registering.

NEW this year for boys basketball

-Regular registration is September 1-12.

18u and 16u is $250

14u is $150

Plus $100 gym fee per family to help cover rent and utilities. 

-Late registration September 13-19 will incur a $100 late fee.

We are considering starting a 12u boys team. Interested families, please email CHAAMP.

New this year- Due to a growing and successful basketball program, CHAAMP will implement tryouts for 18u and 16u boys teams. 

Please be sure to register during Regular Registration to avoid a $100 late fee. 

Registration is required in order to attend tryouts. 

You do not have to pay when you register. Payment is due if your player makes a team.  

Tryouts are September 15th and 19th at Winfield!
